Generous donation from League of Friends to benefit rheumatology patients

The League of Friends at Tunbridge Wells Hospital has funded the purchase of a new state-of-the-art ultrasound machine, at a cost of around £40,000. Dr Amit Saha, clinical lead for rheumatology, said: “We are delighted with the new machine and are extremely grateful to the League of Friends for their help. “This ultrasound machine will allow us to diagnose rheumatoid arthritis earlier and more accurately, which means we can start treatment sooner, giving better outcomes for our patients.
